Aqwise hosted today the President of the State of Israel, Mr. Reuven Rivlin, in the river water treatment facility in which its technology is implemented – in the city of Agra, India.
The presidential visit was part of an official delegation led by President Rivlin to India. “It is a great honor to have you here in our treatment facility in Agra – a place which is a unique manifestation of the close bonds between Israel and India, characterized by a fertile cooperation between the two countries,” said Elad Frenkel, CEO of Aqwise.
The water treatment facility in Agra was executed by the Indian company of Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd., and at its core is advanced biological technology provided by the Israeli company Aqwise, based upon AGAR® MBBR (Moving Bed Bio Reactor) technology. It is an innovative water facility, treating water from the Yamuna River – and it provides clean drinking water to two million residents in the city of Agra, home of the famous Taj Mahal. The facility which is based on biological technology, and has a capacity of 144,000 m3 per day is active since 2014, and is the largest of its kind in India, and one of the biggest in the world.
