Aqwise is glad to announce the successful completion of the Salori wastewater treatment plant.
Located in the holy city of Prayagraj, UP, India – confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna Rivers (and home of the famous Kumbh Mela) – the Salori plant was first constructed in 2006, based on MBBR technology. The plant consists of 2 parallel treatment lines, with 2 MBBR stages per line. Each line with capacity of 14.5 MLD, for plant total of 29 MLD.
Aqwise was selected by Adani Water, part of the Adani Group, to provide design support and supply of Aqwise Biomass Carriers for retrofit of the plant – in order to achieve the required effluent quality prior to discharge to the Ganga River, a short distance upstream from the location where millions of worshipers bath in the River during the Mela celebration.
With the revised design and the proper amount of Aqwise Biomass Carriers, the plant is now performing well. Thus contributing to the national effort for cleanup of the Ganga River.
