Our world’s water scarcity, usage restrictions and water costs motivate state authorities and water companies to look for alternative water sources.
Wastewater reuse and reclamation are such optimal alternatives.
Wastewater reuse as a part of the circular economy provides key benefits, such as alternative local water source, reduction of fresh water consumption energy costs and CO2 emissions and cheaper water costs.
Water Reuse in the various sectors
Municipal sector – reuse is optimal for municipal wastewater, and used for irrigation, for environmental uses and even up to direct potable reuse.
Industrial sector – in the industrial sectors reclaimed wastewater may be used for cooling towers, boilers feed, further production and process water.
Wastewater reuse plants, based on our AGAR® MBBR technologies with additional tertiary units had been already implemented all around the world treating municipal wastewater and industrial wastewater of various sectors as pulp & paper and food & beverage.
The AGAR® reuse plant advantages for wastewater reclamation:
- Retrofit – AGAR® MBBR technology enables increasing WWTP capacity and superior effluent quality (TN reduction) without the need of reactors volume expansion.
- Lower TSS levels – effluent TSS levels from MBBR system are lower and consequently requires smaller and simpler tertiary treatment systems.
- High resistance to hydraulic and toxic shocks Process stability
Aqwise’s advanced technological solutions offer its industrial clients a nearly full recovery of their water use – up to ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) level. In addition, we offer our municipal clients the possibility to use the treated wastewater for agricultural or environmental needs.
